Princess Zelda is a fictional character from the Legend of Zelda series.
She is also from the Smash Bros. Series where (prior to Smash Bros. Brawl) she could transform into a ninja named Shiek.
In the Legend of Zelda series, Zelda is often in need of rescuing from Ganondorf by Link.
In the Smash Bros. Series, until Smash Bros. Brawl, Zelda had the ability to transform into Shiek, a powerful ninja whom is more than capable of looking after herself. Zelda is normally paired up with Princess Peach in this series.
