Amy Rose the Hedgehog (often shortened to Amy Rose, or Amy, formerly known as Rosy the Rascal prior to her debut on Sonic CD) is a female pink anthropomorphic hedgehog from the Sonic Series. She is a part of Team Sonic alongside Sonic, Tails, and Knuckles. She is also (prior to Rosy the Rascal's introduction) the leader of Team Rose.
The manual for Sonic CD accidentally identified her as a Princess (akin to Peach, Daisy, Rosalina and Pauline of the Super Mario series), so she can also be known (albeit accidentally) as Princess Amy Rose-Hedgehog.
It should be noted that because Sonic CD was released in between Sonic the Hedgehog 2 and Sonic the Hedgehog 3, Amy is technically the third member of Team Sonic.
As of the Sonic Boom series, Amy is the Pink member of Team Sonic.
FanonLand[]
In FanonLand, this version of Amy is not as open about her feelings as her original incarnation (this part of her personality matches that of her Sonic Boom counterpart). If anything, prior to becoming Sonic's girlfriend, Amy had a fear of Sonic due to her trauma of being kidnapped by Metal Sonic to the point where she was more scared of Sonic than Sonic was of Amy. Amy eventually overcame her fear of Sonic (and vice versa), after Tails successfully pleaded with her to rescue him. Through that, Amy accomplished two things: She earned her rightful place on team Sonic, and gained new friends in Tails, Manic and Sonia.

Trivia[]
- This version of Amy Rose is vastly different to the original Amy Rose (known as Rosy the Rascal in FanonLand) as she is extremely secretive of her crush on Sonic and blushes a bright red the moment anyone suggests that she is in love with Sonic, to Sonic's delight.
